A gloomy and a windy day
That was in the past, a yesterday
Or so I thought

I would embrace sunshine
Turn over a new leaf, leave the past behind
Or so I thought

Then came temptation and I was bought

I made a mistake for just one more day
It will be the last, only today
Or so I thought

I abused my luck, and I was caught
Now left alone with the agonising thought

I could have seized the day, but I gave it all away
What a difference a day makes!
